What happens if it rains?
Most of the time we get sunny skies though when it rains we have to cancel our lessons. You will receive an email and a text if it rains to let you know the lesson is cancelled. You will also receive rainy day credits, redeemable for future lessons. Here is a video showing you how to use them. It takes up to a week to receive your credits.

Lessons are non-refundable however, if it rains or the lesson has to be cancelled by us, you will receive rainy day credits for the lesson.

Go to the booking page,
Click “redeem coupon”,
Enter your email address and click enter,
You will see the total amount,
Continue booking as you normally would to use your credits.

You can use your rainy day credits to book any future lessons. Please note that they expire after 12 months.

Our scheduling system will only allow you to use one voucher at a time though if you email us we can turn all your credits into one voucher.
Eg. You have 2x different vouchers worth $15 = $30 total but you want to book a series worth $60. Email us and ask us to turn it into 1x $30 voucher so you can use all the credits at once.

Payment Options
We have 3 ways to pay for lessons, one may suit your family better than the other. We hope this guide helps!

Please register online https://www.arohaskate.co.nz (you will need to register each Term as registrations do not roll over).
Register for one or more lessons at a time depending on which ones your child will attend.
Our new booking system requires a payment to be made to confirm the booking.
Our Coaches will take a roll at each lesson to ensure that every attendee has registered and paid.
Payments for lessons cancelled due to rain will be credited towards future lessons. The rainy day credits will automatically be allocated to your account. Use your email address in the “redeem coupon” section on our booking page to use rainy day credits.
If you have booked a lesson but your child chooses not to attend, you will not be able to get a refund. This includes holidays and sick leave.
All previously appointed rainy day credits using the old system have now been loaded on our website's new booking system using your email address.

Why should I go with the Pay As You Go option?
You take holidays often and aren’t sure if you/your child can make all the sessions.
My child wants to try a few lessons before committing to the whole series.
You do not wish to have a big payment prior to the lessons.
You like the flexibility
**Please note that lessons are non-refundable. Payments for lessons cancelled due to rain will be credited towards future lessons. Credits are valid for 90 days.
Please Note: Lesson credit vouchers given out during or prior to Term 3 2023 are valid for 4 school terms, however the following rules apply:
For the first 90 days it can be redeemed for any lessons via the website.
After 90 days up till 4 school terms later it can only be redeemed for private lessons at Albany Skatepark with Tanja for a discounted lesson specifically for using vouchers which is a 30 min lesson for $20. Email tanja@arohaskate to make a booking as your voucher code won’t be redeemable via the website any longer.
If your voucher was given out after Term 3 2023 you won’t be able to redeem vouchers after the initial 90 day period.

Get lessons at a lower rate!
Myself/my child will definitely be attending the lessons set out.
Save time by paying for the series at the start. No need to worry about payments through the term.

How to use vouchers:
Go to our booking page,
Click “redeem coupon” and enter your voucher code,
All your credits will automatically show up,
Continue booking as you usually would, your credits will automatically be applied.
How to check remaining amounts:
Go to the booking page,
Click “redeem coupon” and enter your email address,
The totals left on all your vouchers will show up though you will need to email our team to find your voucher code or alternatively, you could search for it in your mail box as we always email voucher codes.

If you’re focused on progression we recommend booking 3-6 weekly lessons, then one lesson every fortnight
Please choose your session times and book online.
Registrations need to be paid in full before any lessons are attended.
You will not be charged for lessons that had to be cancelled due to rain, we will call you to reschedule your lessons.
**Please let us know in advance if you can not make the lessons with at least 24 hrs notice. We do not offer refunds, instead you will be given credits to be used for future lessons. These are redeemable during the booking process by entering your email address in the “redeem coupon” section. Credits are only given if a lesson if cancelled due to rain or sickness.
