Private lessons are all about learning, getting active, and building confidence.
These private lessons involve quality one on one time with an experienced coach to help you progress your skating and have fun!
Meet Karla
Karla has years of experience with Aroha Skate leading beginner skate lessons for kids all with different abilities, including neurodiverse individuals
Karla’s coaching style focuses on creating a safe environment for kids to learn new skills and push themselves while having lots of fun!

Monday - Friday: 2:30pm - 6:30pm
Saturday: 1:00pm - 5:00pm

We recommend booking a minimum of 3 lessons to start with.
If you’re focused on progression we recommend booking 3-6 weekly lessons, then one lesson every fortnight.
Benefits of a private skateboarding lesson
Our coaches asses your current ability and then use that to build on what you already know. If it’s your very first time stepping on a skateboard we will make sure you start off with the correct techniques.
Who the lessons are suitable for
All ages are welcome! Each private skate lesson will be tailored to your individual needs. You are never too young or too old to learn how to skateboard.
Where we run private skate lessons
We run skateboarding lessons every Saturday morning at Albany skatepark as well as a few alternative locations by request. Click here to learn about a few parks in Auckland.
